In the late 80'ies, Matra developed this cute little electrical city-car - unfortunately, they didn't feel that their subvendors were stable enough (batteries and electro motors), so the project was stopped, - (not abandonned). Maybe the current state of electrical power could change that - I, for one, certainly still thing the radical Zoom is wonderful.
When parking the Zoom, you could swing the rear wheels forward, under the car, making the egg stand more vertical, so to speak, - hereby making required parkingspace much smaller. (a rather typical Parisian invention ;-) )
